EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF

As the Executive Sous chef, a vital role is directing and supervising food preparation for all food outlets of the company and ensure the highest-level quality and consistency as relates to food handling, food quality and food presentations while maintaining established operational standards and maximizing profits. The ideal candidate will:

    • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, genuine smile and have FUN in a team environment.
    • Creates and plans all meals and menus for the restaurant/s, outlet/s and catered events.
    • Expedite peak meal periods by maintaining a “hands on” approach.
    • Works within monthly set food cost budget, adjust food requisitions and controls waste.
    • Monitors food outlets, buffets, stations, and food displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness & food safety.
    • Assures timely set up, schedules well trained cooks in all areas in proper uniform.
    • Assists the Executive Chef in their daily and weekly duties as needed.
    • Complete at least 15 hours of continued education courses for hospitality leadership, safety, compliance, quality control, and school meal service in accordance with the new United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
    • Assists the food and beverage services for group activities and catered events to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales team and prospective clients.
    • Assist with food transport to and/or from suppliers, customers, banquets, etc.
    • Works frequent banquets and/or events both onsite and off-site
    • Works frequently with subordinates to ensure all aspects of business are running smoothly and on schedules to improve existing practices and services both in the front of the house and the back of the house.
    • Communicates financial information to the Manager, including up-to-date budget information and financial plans for food and beverage.
    • Assist manager to achieve budgeted revenues, controls cost (which includes labor, food, maintenance, etc.) and maximizes profitability related to the facility operations.
    • Always provides a professional image through appearance and attire.

Qualification and Requirements:

    • Have 5 or more years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage experience or other successful F&B service industry, or
    • Culinary Degree with 2 or more years of progressive experience in Restaurant and Catering Industry or other successful F&B service industry.
    • Must be able to lift 25 – 50lbs.
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • 18 years or older
    • Must have weekend availability.
    • Must be ServSafe certified

 

EXECUTIVE CHEF

As Executive Chef, a vital role is directing and supervising food preparation for all food outlets of Livy O’s and ensure the highest-level quality and consistency as relates to food handling, food quality and food presentations while maintaining established operational standards and maximizing profits for Livy O’s Catering Company.

The ideal candidate will:

    • Creates and plans all meals & menus and costing for Corporate & Private Catering events and the NSLP program, and Livy O’s CafĂ© services. Implement, train, and management of systems, policies, and procedures. Oversees quality control of food and services.
    • Expedite peak meal periods by maintaining a “hands on” approach.
    • Works within monthly set food cost budget, adjust food requisitions and controls waste.
    • Oversees food outlets, buffets, stations and food displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness and food safety.
    • Assures efficiency, productivity, and that production staff is well trained and are in proper uniform.
    • Perform daily and weekly duties as needed.
    • Oversee the food and beverage services for group activities & catered events, and facilitate services agreed upon by the sales team and prospective clients.
    • Oversee the completion of food transport to and/or from suppliers, customers, banquets, etc.
    • Oversee and/or works frequent banquets and/or events both onsite and off-site.
    • Ensures all aspects of catering services is running smoothly and on schedule, to improve existing practices and services both in the front of the house and the back of the house.
    • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with wholesale vendors/suppliers and oversees or orders daily, weekly, and monthly catering food & supply orders.
    • Communicates financial information to the CEO, CFO, and Manager of Operations, including up-to-date budget information and financial plans for food and beverage.
    • Works closely with management to achieve budgeted revenues, controls cost (which includes labor, food, maintenance, etc.) and maximizes profitability related to the facility operations.
    • Always provides a professional image through appearance, attitude, and attire.

Qualification and Requirements:

    •  Have 5 or more years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage experience or other successful F&B service industry, or a Culinary Degree with 2 or more years of progressive experience in Restaurant and Catering Industry or other successful F&B service industry.
    • Must be able to lift 25 – 50lbs

FOOD SERVICE ATTENDANT

A Food Service Attendant is someone who assists with rudimentary duties, and basic food preparation tasks inside and outside the kitchen such as: washing and cutting fruits, vegetables or meat, preparing salads, plating of meals, arranging food stations, transport of food (pick-up or deliveries) etc., in addition to basic culinary cleaning duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain a clean workspace by keeping counters, cooking appliances etc. clean
    • Ensure that the dishes, cookware, other utensils are clean.
    • Confirm that the supply of cookware for food preparation is adequate and functional.
    • Assist in the preparation of certain foods or dishes which may include chopping, sorting, and washing.
    •  Prepare the kitchen area or workspace for service to prepare food in a timely manner.
    • Assist with monitoring temperature of food, kitchen refrigerators, and freezers.
    • Inventory and report on kitchen items and equipment that need reordering.
    • Perform cleaning tasks in support of a clean and safe work environment, and assist with breakdown of service
    • Arrangement of food stations for on and off-site catering services
    • Transportation of food (e. g., pick-up from food supplier, catering deliveries, etc.)
    • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
    • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification and Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Previous hospitality, fine dining or culinary arts experience strongly desired
    • Must have friendly, service-oriented demeanor and the ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced, stressful environments.
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Must reside in Tampa, FL area
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to follow directions
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Assistant will be provided with chef uniforms, however, MUST provide own dark pants and dark slip-resistant shoes.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull up to 30 lbs.
    • Must have access to reliable transportation to and from events and event locations
    • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Availability: 15 – 40 hours depending on events and demand.

EVENT STAFF MEMBER

 An Event Staff Member is someone who performs food and drink serving duties while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner. Event Staff Members help to prepare venues for occasions such as weddings, banquets, business meetings, and other types of live events. Event Staff Members may work in a variety of positions such as: waiter, usher, runner, dishwasher, or server. Event Staff Members are responsible for all table service duties as well as prep work, serving meals, and cleaning up designated workspaces after an event has ended.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with Livy O’s Catering Co. team to ensure exemplary guest service through all forms of service: including carving stations, bartending, running food during events, etc.
    • Ensure events are properly equipped and set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet
    • Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests
    • Replenish products and supplies like keeping glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils in compliance with event standards
    • Perform cleaning tasks in support of a clean and safe work environment, and assist with breakdown of service
    • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
    • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification and Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Previous hospitality, catering, fine dining or banquet server experience strongly desired
    • Must have friendly, service-oriented demeanor and the ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced, stressful environments.
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to follow directions
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • An Event Staff Member MUST provide their own uniform which consists of a black, long-sleeve, collard, button-up shirt; black pants, black socks, and all black, slip-resistant shoes.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull food items & catering equipment up to 30 lbs.
    • Must have access to reliable transportation to and from events and event locations
    • Must be willing to work with a varying/flexible schedule based on catering business fluctuations.
    • Work Hours: 15 – 40 hours depending on events and demand.

FOOD SERVICE DELIVERY DRIVER

We are looking to hire a hard-working Food Service Delivery Driver to deliver meals to various institutions in the Tampa Bay area. To be successful in this role, you should have a pleasant demeanor, a clean driving record and clean background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Loading and unloading meals from a truck/van
    • Assist in plating meal items for delivery to various institutions
    • Keeping track and records on meal deliveries
    • Communicating client issues in a timely manner
    • Dispensing accurate meals to corresponding institutions

Qualification and Requirements

    •  High School diploma or GED
    • Clean driving record
    • Driver’s license
    • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
    • The ability to work as part of a team
    • The ability to sit for extended periods
    • The ability to lift 30 pounds
    • The ability to push and pull carts
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
