As a Chef / Sous Chef, a vital role is directing and supervising food preparation for all food outlets of Livy O’s and ensure the highest-level quality and consistency as relates to food handling, food quality and food presentations while maintaining established operational standards and maximizing profits for Livy O’s. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, genuine smile and have FUN in a team environment.
  • Creates and plans all meals and menus for the restaurant/s, outlet/s and catered events.
  • Expedite peak meal periods by maintaining a “hands on” approach.
  • Works within monthly set food cost budget, adjust food requisitions and controls waste.
  • Monitors food outlets, buffets, stations, and food displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness & food safety.
  • Assures timely set up, schedules well trained cooks in all areas in proper uniform.
  • Assists the Executive Chef in their daily and weekly duties as needed.
  • Assists the food and beverage services for group activities and catered events to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales team and prospective clients.
  • Assist with food transport to and/or from suppliers, customers, banquets, etc.
  • Works frequent banquets and/or events both onsite and off-site
  • Works frequently with subordinates to ensure all aspects of business are running smoothly and on schedules to improve existing practices and services both in the front of the house and the back of the house.
  • Communicates financial information to the Manager, including up-to-date budget information and financial plans for food and beverage.
  • Assist manager to achieve budgeted revenues, controls cost (which includes labor, food, maintenance, etc.) and maximizes profitability related to the facility operations.
  • Always provides a professional image through appearance and attire

Requirements

  • Have 5 or more years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage experience or other successful F&B service industry, or a
  • Culinary Degree with 2 or more years of progressive experience in Restaurant and Catering Industry or other successful F&B service industry.
  • Must be able to lift 25 – 50lbs
  • Valid Driver’s License

Food Service Attendant Job Summary

A Food Service Attendant plays a vital role the food service preparation, production, and service of the National School Lunch Program to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance as it relates to essential duties of the school meal and food service program.

Hourly Salary Range: $16 – $18

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of daily meal preparation, meal service performance, as well as serving of food & beverages.
  • Completion of accurate Food Service Department Documentation. This includes, but is not limited to, the follow: NLSP and Food Safety Logs, Production Records, Meal Pattern Signage, Nutrition Facts information, CN labels, and Point of Sale Software
  • Work well with other Service Attendants & Interns in the food service production center.
  • Work closely with the Fleet & Warehouse Transporters for meal service transport to all new and established facilities.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of all food service items (food, supplies, equipment, etc.).
  • Assist Meal Service Manager with planning all aspects of meal menu.
  • Participate in new recipe development and taste testing events with faculty and students of sites.
  • Assist with monitoring temperature of food, as well as the maintenance of all kitchen equipment (ex: refrigerators, freezers, stoves, warmers, etc).
  • Performs all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) daily, as well as Food Safety Kitchen Safety and cleanliness standards daily.
  • In accordance with the new United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Profession Standards, this position will be required to attend at least 10hrs of training quarterly.
  • Attends quarterly compliance, safety, and meal service training.
  • Maintains high level of communication with peers and management.
  • Performs any other duties or task as assigned by the Food Service Manager.

Banquet Server Job Summary

The Banquet Server plays a vital role in the overall presentation of food and event services. They serve as the first impression at all banquet events; therefore, they must always reflect professionalism. It is important for the Banquet Server to conduct themselves according to Livy O’s policies and procedures when executing events.  

Salary Range: $18-25 hourly 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Event set-up and breakdown
· Follow plan of event details and layout based on information provided by the Banquet Captain
· Communicate menu selection to guest
· Serve guest
· Stock and replenish banquet area i.e. supplies, food and drinks
· Cleaning of event space based on requirement of venue and Livy O’s standards
· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards (Black slacks, Black long sleeve button down shirt with collar, Black slip resistant shoes)

Event Performance Coordinator Job Summary

Event Performance Coordinator coordinates, performances, and manages client catering event banquets and/or catering deliveries. They lead and manage all event activities related to the event inventory, closed sales, and event performances that enables the successful achievement and execution of catering sales.

Salary Range: $18 – $20 hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and execute event performance that increase client experience and satisfaction.
  • Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact with catering sales team, senior management, and catering clients.
  • Plan, layout, and execute catering displays for upcoming events.
  • Organize and manage all catering inventory at off-site storage that is used for all catering banquets and deliveries.
  • Identify future business opportunities and communicate business generation activities to the catering sales team post performing events.
  • Train in essential sales software for efficient operations including, but not limited to Hubspot.com, as well as quarterly banquet staff training.
  • Be the expert in coordinating and conducting events from catering sales team to include knowledge of Livy O’s catering and wedding menu.
  • Event Banquet Lead for a minimum of 2 events per month but not limited to only 2 events.
  • Be knowledgeable with current display trends and create innovative catering displays and presentations.
  • Clear understanding of the Livy O’s policy & procedure handbook
  • Manage front and back of house event staff when performing events.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance as well as, adhere to grooming/appearance standards and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hospitality and catering experience strongly desired
  • Strong organizational skills and inventory management skills
